TEV protease is a site-specific endoprotease that cleaves after glutamine at its cleavage site Glu-Asn-Leu-Tyr-Phe-Gln-/-Gly.
Recombinant TEV protease is purified from E.coli containing a clone of the Tobacco Etch Virus gene.Since TEV protease contains 6x His sequence (EBF-1009 and 1010) or 6x His-GST (EBF-1011 and 1012), they can be easily removed by a metal affinity chromatography or GSH affinity chromatography after the cleavage reaction. The recombinant 6x His tagged TEV protease is 28.6 kDa, and 6x His-GST tagged TEV protease is 58.1 kDa in size.Substrate Specificity- -Glu-Asn-Leu-Tyr-Phe-Gln - / - Gly-Product Component- TEV Protease : 500 ㎕ (500 ㎍, 10,000 units)
