Bst DNA Polymerase is a recombinant DNA polymerase from Bacillus stearothermophilus. Bst DNA Polymerase is purified from an E.coli strain carrying a plasmid with the cloned gene encoding large fragment of DNA polymerase. It contains the 5' to 3´ polymerase activity, but lacks 5' to 3´ exonuclease activity. For this reason, Bst DNA Polymerase can be effectively used in chain displacement reaction at high temperature, 65°C.
Storage Buffer- 60 unit/㎕ in 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH8.0, 50 mM KCl, 0.1 mM EDTA, 1 mM DTT, 0.1% Triton X-100, and 50% Glycerol. 10x Reaction Buffer w/ MgCl₂- 200 mM Tris-HCl, pH8.8, 100 mM (NH₄)₂SO₄, 100 mM KCl, 20 mM MgSO₄, 1% Triton X-100. - One unit of enzyme incorporates 10 nmole of dNTP into acid insoluble material in 30 min at 65°C.
