Uracil-DNA Glycosylase, also known as UDG or UNG, removes free uracil residues from uracil-containing DNA (single- and double-stranded) without destroying the sugar-phosphodiester backbone.UDG effectively prevents the subsequent use of UDG-treated DNA as a hybridization target or as a template for DNA polymerases.
Treatment of 0.1 ㎍ of uracil-containing DNA with 1 unit UDG for 10 min at 37°C can not be used as a template for next round of PCR. UDG is active over a broad range of pH and heat inactivated > 95% by incubation at 95°C for 10 min.Uracil-DNA Glycosylase gene is obtained from E.coli strain and recombinant enzyme is purified.Concentration & Storage Condition- 2 unit/㎕, Store at -20℃.10x Reaction Buffer- 200 mM Tris-HCl, pH7.9, 10 mM DTT, 10 mM EDTA.Storage Buffer- 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 50 mM KCl, 1 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EDTA, 0.1 mg/ml BSA and 50% glycerol.QC Tests
